UNIFIED FIREFIGHTERS SAY, A MAGNA DOG MAY HAVE A FRIENDLY NEIGHBOR TO THANK, FOR BEING ALIVE TODAY.

CREWS WERE CALLED TO A HOME -- NEAR 37TH SOUTH, 80TH WEST -- AS FIRE BURNED THE REAR, EXTERIOR WALL.

THEY WERE ABLE TO LIMIT DAMAGE INSIDE THE HOUSE... BUT THERE WAS A LOT OF SMOKE.

PARAMEDIC CHRIS ATKIN SAYS, THE NEIGHBOR FOUGHT THROUGH THE SMOKE... GIVING THE PET AN ASSIST, BEFORE FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED.

THE GOOD SAMARITAN SUFFERED SOME SMOKE INHALATION, AND HAD TO BE TREATED ON SCENE.

THERE WERE NO OTHER INJURIES.

THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS STILL BEING DETERMINED.
