"It is what it is."

That's how a laughing 23-year-old hiker described getting stuck on a cliff -- above Beck Street, at the north end of Salt Lake -- early Friday morning.

When he could no longer move up, down, left or right, the unidentified hiker began screaming for help.

Rescuers -- from the Salt Lake City Fire Department -- spent about two hours getting him down, by harnessing a line to him and lowering him.

They say the area is dangerous even for an experienced hiker...in daylight...with proper equipment.
