THE LATEST JOBLESS REPORT -- RELEASED FRIDAY, BY THE DEPARTMENT OF WORKFORCE SERVICES -- SHOWS MAY'S SEASONALLY ADJUSTED UNEMPLOYMENT RATE WAS 3.6 PERCENT.

THAT NUMBER IS LOWER THAN A MONTH EARLIER, WHEN THE RATE WAS 3.8 PERCENT.

IT ALSO REMAINS WELL BELOW THE NATIONAL JOBLESS RATE OF 6.3 PERCENT.

THE RATE OF UNEMPLOYED UTAH WORKERS HAS BEEN SLOWLY FALLING BACK TO ITS PRE-RECESSION LEVEL, OF 3.4 PERCENT IN NOVEMBER 2008.

OUR STATE ALSO ADDED 37,500 JOBS LAST MONTH, OVER MAY 2013.
