(Washington, DC)   --  The Transportation Security Administration is delaying the implementation of a new policy concerning small knives.  TSA leader John Pistole decided to delay Thursday's planned implementation of the new policy allowing passengers to carry small pocket knives and other previously banned items on board planes.  "Politico" reports Pistole informed employees of his delay decision in an email Monday. 

According to the email, Pistole made his decision after meeting with his Aviation Security Advisory Committee.
