(Oklahoma) - Officer Jody Thompson heard a call on his police radio about a domestic child abuse situation and even those he wasn't on duty that night he decided to respond and help out.
While on that call he met 8-year-old John who had been abused by his parents. Officer Jody knew John was in a bad situation and couldn't stop worrying about him. He made arrangements to adopt John without even asking his wife. When he brought John home Jody's wife and 2 sons were so welcoming. The family even made arrangements to adopt John's little sister Paizley and welcomed another baby of their own, Zaven. The family quickly went from a family of 4 to a family of 7!
Officer Jody Thompson was recently honored by the police department for going the extra mile to help the two siblings.
