GoodNews: Hospital Shoe-Shiner Donates Life's Tips

Since 1981, Albert Lexie has been getting up every morning before 6:00 so he could get to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh by 7:30 to start shining shoes.

He works for tips and he has donated over $200,000 worth of shoe shining tips to the Free Care Fund, which ensures that every young patient can receive the medical care they need regardless of their families’ ability to pay.

Albert passed away earlier this week at the age of 76.
