Some local volunteers knitted over 1,300 free items for the homeless and others in need over the weekend in Liberty Park. 757 hats, 42 mittens, 17 socks and 495 scarves were knitted and then hung up on fences for those in need. This is the 2nd year the group has gotten together for the Scarfs in the Park event.
