A man bought a young mom four new tires for her truck after overhearing her tell auto shop staff that she couldn’t afford them. Customers and staff at America’s Tire in Hemet, California were blown away as he paid the $1,400 for a total stranger.
According to Sergio Rodriguez, who saw the act of kindness, a young woman named Alex was in for a flat tire repair, but they told her all four of her tires were bald and needed to be replaced. She was stressed about the unexpected expense, but a man named Phil, who was also waiting, said he would buy them for her.
“Alex said thank you about 100 times. Phil was mister smooth and humble, with a big heart,” Rodriguez shares in a Facebook post. “I absolutely love this. Probably saved this girl’s life and her kids.”
All Phil asked in return is that she pay it forward. Alex says Phil’s generosity left her “speechless,” and that she plans to keep up her end of the deal and keep the acts of kindness going.
