In High Springs, Florida, an anonymous citizen has been going to City Hall every month and paying off overdue utility bills.
It started in January and they returned in February and March to do it again, promising to return on the first of every month to pay someone’s bills. When a city hall employee called one of the recipients, they burst into tears.
So far they’ve paid off over $2,000 in bills and the act of kindness has city officials calling the donor their “guardian angel.”
