A new documentary on Hulu reveals what it was like growing up as a child actor.
Soleil Moon Frye — star of the 1980s sitcom “Punky Brewster” — spent her teen years with an exclusive group of showbiz friends. She recorded their day to day lives, and now the old footage has been turned into a documentary called “Kid 90.”
As a teen growing up in Los Angeles, Frye began carrying a video camera with her wherever she went. Years of footage has sat hidden away in a storage locker for some 20 years. Now, those old friends are getting back together to discuss those days.
The doc features an all-star cast of ’80s and ’90s Hollywood teen actors, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Brian Austin Green, Charlie Sheen, David Arquette and more.
