(Virginia) 17 year old Rocky Elardo was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. She’s a member of her high school’s basketball team and her coach says “Despite all the treatment and all the doctor's appointments and no matter how bad she's felt on any given day, she has been at every practice in the last four years that she can physically be at, in every game with a positive outlook.”
Rocky hasn’t had it easy. “I did chemo my freshman and sophomore year, and then radiation my junior year and then I've just gotten surgeries my freshman and senior year to remove cancer.”
On January 27, Rocky got the thumbs up from her doctor to play in her last game. Not only did she play, she made the game-winning buzzer beater!
