(New Jersey) - For the past 4 years, 2 girls have been playing on the 5th grade boys basketball team because there weren't enough girls that wanted to play to have their own team. Recently the organization told the team they should have never been a coed team and said the girls couldn't play the remaining 2 games of the season.
The coach informed the players of the organization's decision and told the team it was their choice on what to do. The team chose to not take the court without their girl players. The players chanted “Unity!” and decided to end the season together.
