(Nebraska) – 98-year-old Leo’s wife passed away in 2012. They had spent 72 years together and after her passing he was really down. Leo told himself he needed to do something to stop moaning and moping around, so he started baking.
Leo reached out to local funeral homes and community organizations to connect with families having a hard time. Leo bakes pies and cakes to give to the families. The first year he made 144 pies! Leo also hosts parties at his home with his baked goods and even helped some neighbors and children learn to cook so they can spread love by baking too.
