Good News (5/9) - Chicago Cubs Player Donates $3.5 Million to Children's Hospital

The Anthony Rizzo Foundation donated $3.5 million to the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.  Anthony Rizzo is the Chicago Cubs’ first baseman.  The money will be used to create two funds.

One fund will help families during their financial hardship due to a child’s cancer treatment. The families could use the money for everything from parking, meals, mortgage payments, and medical bills.

The second fund will allow the hospital to bring on 2 two child life specialists, who help the children cope with all of the trials they face when fighting cancer.
