Utah has some dumb laws, and Senator Daniel Thatcher wants to review them all and lose them forever.
The laws in question are “Class B Misdemeanors” that can carry up to six months in jail. The dumb crimes include:
- holding a raccoon
- allowing a pig to run free
- library theft
- election wagering
- livestock harassment
- unlawful tattooing of a minor
- illegal paleontology (yes, that’s a thing)
