(Houston) - Dr. Stephen Kimmel got a call early Saturday morning that Jacob, 16, needed immediate attention. The doctor jumped in his car and headed toward the hospital even though his home was beginning to flood because of Hurricane Harvey. He only got so far before he was forced to turn back due to rising waters. He was able to meet up with two firemen who had a canoe and they paddled towards the hospital. The last part of the journey Dr. Kimmel had to walk through waist-deep water for about a mile in order to make it to the hospital.
