(Idaho) – Amiah is a second-grader at Hayden Meadows Elementary School. She wanted to do something for the other students at her school after realizing that some students are not able to pay off their lunch bills. “Every kid at school needs lunch, so that’s my way of helping,” she said.
Amiah set up a lemonade stand called “Lemonade 4 Lunch” and by the end of summer raised $600. Since she reached her goal so quickly she set a new goal of $23,000 to pay off the entire school district’s lunch debt. Amiah’s mom has also set up a GoFundMe page to help raise the money.
