After seeing how scared one kid was to get an MRI, industrial designer Doug wanted to help the kids feel better about the procedure. He created an MRI machine design called, MR Adventure Discovery Series. The machines are made to look like fun adventures. There is a machine that looks like an underwater adventure with disco ball bubbles and a bed that looks like a yellow submarine. Another machine is a camp adventure where kids lie in a special sleeping bag under a starry sky.
Doug says the kids' reactions makes all of his hard work worth it!
