(Cedar City) — In August, 16-year-old Obie was in a bad car accident that left him in a coma and with many broken bones. Obie returned to Canyon View High School this week. His classmates lined up to welcome him back and then they surprised him with a car. His friends at school had fixed an old Pontiac Firebird for him so he'd have a car to drive when he's ready. They even customized the car by putting "Obie's Firebird" and "Miracles Happen" on the side.
Obie still has a long recovery, he is only cleared to attend school part time and can't drive yet, but knows his friends are there to support him through it.
