Elton John has announced that he'll be retiring after 1 final tour. The "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" Tour will kick off this September and run for 3 years with a total of 300 shows.
"I've been touring since I was 17 with various bands," Elton said. "I thought the time is right to say thank you to all my fans and say goodbye." Elton said his priorities changed when he had children. He said "In 2015 we sat down with their school schedule and we said I'm going to miss too much of this."
He'll continue to make albums.
Dates are currently only listed through June 2019. No Utah stop yet, but he'll be in Boise January 11, 2019.
