Milagros and Angel survived the Hurricane that hit Puerto Rico, but lost nearly everything. 3 days after the storm hit they had a baby and were still sitting in the flooded water with their 2 small children. As soon as possible, family members helped them relocate to Wichita, Kansas.
Once the family got to Wichita they enrolled their son in school. His teacher, Roxanne, learned about everything the family had endured and wanted to help the family get started with their new life. Roxanne & her husband planned to buy a new car. Rather than trading their old car in they gave it to Milagros and Angel’s family even though they had never met Milagros and Angel!
