- 17 year old Red Gerard made history when he won gold in the men’s slopestyle event.
- Jamie Anderson also won gold in the ladies slopestyle.
- Chris Mazdzer's grabbed the silver in luge, and it was the first men's singles luge medal in U.S. history.
- Team USA won the bronze medal in the figure skating team event.
- 17 year old Chloe Kim won gold in the halfpipe with a near-perfect last run with a score of 98.25. The bronze went to Arielle Gold.
- Shaun White took gold in the halfpipe with an impressive last run. That’s our 100th winter Olympics gold medal!
- Mikaela Shiffrin won gold in the women’s giant slalom.
- Lindsey Vonn won bronze in her last Olympic downhill race.
- We won our first gold medal ever in the cross country ski event! Kikkan Randall and Jessie Diggins won in the women’s team sprint freestyle race. The last medal we received in cross country skiing was a silver in 1976.
- US Women’s hockey beat Canada for the gold after a 3-2 shootout!
- Mikaela Shiffrin won silver in the women’s super combined (1 downhill run and 1 slalom run).
- Lindsey Vonn was in 1st place after the downhill and Shiffrin was in 6th. Lindsey lost it during the slolam when she went outside the course and got a DNF (did not finish).
- Skier David Wise won gold in the halfpipe. Our third halfpipe gold in these games.
- One of our 2 women’s doubles bobsled teams earned a silver medal.
