Part Two
After leaving a medical call, a group of firefighters in Charlotte, North Carolina passed a family struggling to fill a whole kiddie pool using just pots and pans. It was a hot and steamy summer afternoon, so Engine 18 stopped to lend a hand and a hose.
The family was getting ready for a little boy’s birthday party and the firefighters filled the entire pool quickly for them using one of their hoses, saving the family lot of time and many trips back and forth with those pots and pans. Plus, it was probably a lot of fun for that birthday boy.
"What was just a simple task for us turned into laughter, smiles, and a lifelong memory for the neighborhood kids as well as the men on Engine 18,” the fire station write in a post on Facebook. “Proud to serve the WESTSIDE!"
