Good News: 12 Year-Old Pays For Headstone

Kaleb an K.J. have been best friends since the 2nd grade.  K.J. was diagnosed with leukemia as a baby and had some limitations including severe allergies that kept him inside a lot. Kaleb didn’t mind staying inside with K.J. Unfortunately, K.J. died in May. He was 12.  When Kaleb heard that K.J.’s mom couldn’t afford a headstone for his best friend’s grave, Kaleb found a way to help.

He started doing odd jobs to earn money and he collected soda bottles all over town to recycle for deposits. He was able to raise $2,500 to give to K.J.’s mom for the headstone.
