#Good News: Nurses Wade and Boat to Patients in Flood Zones

(Illinois) Some hospice nurses in Illinois had to get creative when flood waters from the Mississippi River made it impossible to get to their patients. Stephanee Peterson and T.A. Peterson hopped in a boat and rowed their way to the home of one patient. They say the trip can take up to 3.5 hours and they make the trip twice a week. “These patients need us, we can’t have the flood waters keep us from doing our job. This is the time when they need us the most.”
