#GoodNews: High School Robotics Team Builds Wheelchair for Child

A high school robotics team built a custom electric wheelchair for a 2-year-old boy with a genetic disorder.

When the parents of a 2-year-old boy in Minnesota couldn’t afford to buy him an electric wheelchair, they turned to the robotics team at a local high school. Power wheelchairs can cost more than $20,000, but the students were able to build him one out of a Power Wheels riding toy, a used bicycle seat, and parts they made with a 3D printer.
