#GoodNews: Gifted Car to Fan-Fav Referee Ends Up Saving His Life

76-year-old Lemuel Buster works as a referee for a parks and rec department in Georgia. After his car broke down and couldn’t be repaired, he was renting cars to make it to the kids’ games. When parents heard about Buster’s situation, they stepped up to help. Their community donated money to help get him a car. That car ended up saving his life. Just after getting the car, Lemuel woke up short of breath. Having had triple bypass surgery 4 years earlier, he knew it was serious. He barely managed to drive himself to the hospital, where doctors told him his heart was about to fail. But without the car, he wouldn’t have made it in time.
