Officials: "Quit Pooping By The Stream in Big Cottonwood Canyon"

Forestry officials say they’re dealing with a really crappy situation in Big Cottonwood Canyon. People are pooping near the streams and it’s contaminating the water. E. Coli levels in Salt Lake County water have reached more than the maximum limit, due to visitors who just can’t hold it. Park Ranger Marshall Alford says if it’s an emergency, get as far away from the stream as you can, dig a hole at least 6 inches deep and go there.
