A 10-year-old girl from Michigan has a big goal for the holidays this year: to send 10,000 care packages to U.S. military members who won’t be home for the holidays.
When her older brother joined the Marines 4 years ago, Sawyer Hendrickson sent him a care package in a stocking when he was away for Christmas. It was a hit and the family started sending stockings to his friends, then to friends of friends and eventually they started the nonprofit Miss Sawyer's Kids With A Cause. The organization has sent more than 25,000 stockings filled with goodiesto military bases all over the world.
