Over 350 students at a school in Ireland have had their formal homework suspended for the whole of December. Instead, they have been encouraged to do acts of kindness and generosity, giving to others in their school, families and community. One class baked a big batch of doggie biscuits for a local animal shelter "to make sure that the dogs would feel loved for Christmas".
“It's a way of encouraging our pupils to think of the real spirit of Christmas, the spirit of kindness and giving.”
