A woman has been reunited with her long-lost father after 56 years apart, and it’s all because of Facebook. Karen Harris was adopted as a little girl in the early 1960s. When she turned 18, Harris approached an adoption agency seeking to track down her birth parents. After about 10 years of searching, Karen found her mother, but was having a hard time locating her father. She knew very little about him, but knew his name was Trevor Sinden. Decades went by, then one day when Karen was scrolling through Facebook, a “suggested friend” alert popped up. The name was Trevor Sinden.
She reached out to him, they chatted for several weeks, then met for the first time last week. They both say it was like they’ve known each other their whole lives.
