Heavy rain in Australia has helped extinguish a lot of the bush fires that have been burning since June. Sydney had 15.4-inches of rain over the last few days, the heaviest rainfall they’ve had since 1990. The rain helped put out more than 30 fires. 42 million acres of land have been burned so far. The New South Wales Rural Fire Service calls it “the most positive news we’ve had in some time.”
