#GoodNews: Rain in Australia Extinguishes Many Fires

Heavy rain in Australia has helped extinguish a lot of the bush fires that have been burning since June. Sydney had 15.4-inches of rain over the last few days, the heaviest rainfall they’ve had since 1990. The rain helped put out more than 30 fires. 42 million acres of land have been burned so far. The New South Wales Rural Fire Service calls it “the most positive news we’ve had in some time.”

Good News UPDATE:Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi celebrated the Super Bowl win by paying for the adoptions of all the adoptable dogs currently at KC Pet Project. All 90+ dogs were adopted by the end of last week!
