Homewood Creations in Salt Lake City is building free desks for kids who need them to do their school work from home. All of the employees there are donating their time on the weekends to assemble the desks. In just 2 days, they’ve already built 600 of them.
“Education is so vitally important to all of us, and this transition out of the public schooling environment has taken its toll on parents and children alike. That is why we are offering for a limited time these beautiful, functional and practical children desks for FREE. Each child needs a space to call their own, especially when it comes to their schooling.”
There are currently pick up locations worked out for Layton, Salt Lake City, Bountiful, and Tooele, and they are working on getting locations in West Jordan and Saratoga Springs. To find out more about how you can help, or how to pick one up in your area, visit their website here >> https://office3189.wixsite.com/homewoodcreations/fighting-covid
The company is asking people to donate whatever they can so they can continue to manufacture them as long as the need is there.
