In 2004, 35-year old Bryan Herrington fell from a roof and died of head trauma. He was listed as an organ donor, and within hours, four people were granted a new lease on life. One of those people was Jeff Granger, who received Bryan’s pancreas and kidney. After the transplant, Jeff and his wife Pam kept in touch with Bryan’s wife, Terri.
Last year, Jeff discovered that the kidney was failing and he’d need another transplant. Terri, wasted no time in volunteering her kidney to take the place of her late husband’s. She said, “Jeff will still have Bryan’s pancreas. In a way, we’ll be back together again.”
