#GoodNews: Customers Save Ice Cream Shop For Special Needs Employees

Howdy Homemade Ice Cream employs people with special needs and the pandemic forced them to close for two months. Owner Tom Landis wasn’t sure he would be able to reopen, after mortgaging his house and depleting his savings. But the community wanted to save the business and raised more than $120-thousand in 10 days.

Not only has Howdy’s reopened, they gave a brand new location.

Tom said, “We should be in the graveyard. And man … Dallas saved us.”
