Viva Hernandez spent her life not knowing she had siblings and who her real family was, but thanks to the genealogy site Ancestry.com, she’s been reunited with her relatives.
Viva knew her name didn’t match the name on her birth certificate, but she had no luck finding her family until someone reached out to her son on the site. From there, she found out she was born in Houston, Texas, and has 15 brothers and sisters. She recently flew from Sacramento to Houston to reunite with her siblings after 62 years apart.
They filled her in on her early years, explaining that she was kidnapped at eight-months-old by her babysitter who took her to California and raised her as her own child.
