A Fort Myers, Florida, woman became a hero while driving on Interstate 75 and witnessing an accident. Rebecca Dabney watched as a car flipped and immediately pulled over to help the driver.
“I could see the driver was still trapped in the car, so I pulled over.”
She rushed to the car and used a switchblade to cut the driver out of his seat belt, then she pulled him out of the car with help from bystanders. Another Good Samaritan had a fire extinguisher in his truck, so he was able to put out the fire while Rebecca helped the driver.
“We got about maybe 30 to 40 feet away and the car just went up in flames, completely engulfed. Somebody was looking out for him, for sure.”
