Help Meredith Grant a "Make-a-Wish" for Megan

Meredith here!

As a member of Make-A-Wish Utah, I’m raising money to grant a wish for 17-year-old Megan. Read all about her below, and donate to help her wish come true here >> https://bit.ly/38UqRrD

DIAGNOSIS

In February of 2020, Megan went to see her primary care doctor about swollen lymph nodes in her neck. Her family was referred to an ear, nose, and throat specialist. After many tests, the ENT found that Megan had a tumor in her chest and she was promptly referred to Primary Children’s Hospital. From there, the treatment process skyrocketed and Megan underwent several treatments before April, beginning 4 rounds of chemotherapy and 21 days of radiation. As of December 2020, Megan is in remission!

MORE ABOUT MEGAN

Since her cancer diagnosis, Megan has decided that she wants to become an oncology nurse. She has a compassionate heart for others. When going through chemotherapy, Megan was always worrying for her peers also going through chemo and she often wondered how they were doing. With her kind-heart, she believes that as an oncology nurse in pediatrics she can care for and motivate children by letting them know that she had the strength to fight, and so do they.

MEGAN’S WISH

Megan is wishing for a shopping spree. This fall, she’ll be entering her senior year of high school. Megan would love to use this shopping spree to set herself up for a successful senior year and prepare her with the items she anticipates needing in college. Items on Megan’s list include a laptop, a nice desk where she can do her homework, and a reading chair and ottoman. Megan finds joy in reading both for school and for fun, and would love to have a special chair to curl up in and read a good book.
