19-year-old Florida Monyay has spent years in state care and group homes. That’s where she met her case-worker Leah. They got to know each other and formed a special bond. Monyay would often tell Leah that she wanted her to adopt her, but Leah couldn't because of her job.
Then Leah saw a documentary about someone being adopted as an adult and realized that was a possibility for Monyay. So they filled out the paperwork and now, at 19, Monyay finally has a family.
