World War II veteran Martin Adler never forgot the three Italian siblings he saved while they were hiding from the Nazis, and now they have been reunited.
Martin became friends with the children, and when he returned to the United States, he brought back a photo he took with them.
During quarantine last year, his daughter decided to try and track down the children in the photo. She started circulating the picture. An Italian journalist recognized the location where the photo was taken and published in a local newspaper. The siblings - all grandparents themselves now - found out about it.
Martin chatted with the siblings by video in December, but on Monday they reunited in person.
