#GoodNews: WWII Vet Meets Writer Of Letter He’s Carried for 12 Years

In 2009, WWII veteran Frank Grasberger received a letter from a 3rd grader named Dashauna. He’s carried that letter with him everywhere for the last 12 years.

"I'd never be without it. Because it's something that somebody thought of me that much."

The staff at Frank's senior living facility decided to help him track down Dashauna. Now 21 years old, she surprised Frank last month, wearing her National Guard uniform.

"You can't imagine the feeling I had when she stood next to me. It just took my breath away, it really did," Frank said.

Dashauna said Frank he is now family, and Frank says Dashauna is like his third daughter.
