A Florida man was unable to visit his wife when she was in the ICU with COVID, but he found a way to remind her he was thinking of her. Donna Crane tested positive just two weeks before she was fully vaccinated and was soon in the emergency room unable to breathe.
Her husband, Gary, wasn’t allowed to be with her inside the hospital, but he was still there for her … from the parking lot. He stood out there holding up a sign that read, “I love you” for 10 days!
“She’s worth it and I just wanted her to know that I was rooting for her.”
Donna has since recovered and Gary says she came out of the hospital a different person. “This has been a life-changing event for me -- being given this chance is a gift,” she explains. Now the couple from Port Orange plans to work less, live life to the fullest and spend more time enjoying their family.
