#GoodNews: Good Samaritans Push Elderly Woman Home On Broken Scooter

A group of young men in Florida are being praised for their kindness and compassion. The four men were seen pushing a woman on her broken down scooter in the pouring rain.

Katty Castro, a representative at the Florida Living Independent Community witnessed the act of kindness. "Since this is a very quiet neighborhood I was surprised to hear a commotion, laughs and four gentlemen pushing one of my lady residents under a heavy storm. They were pushing her up the big slope toward her residence."

"[We] noticed the woman was clearly experiencing a malfunction with her mobile scooter," says JohnMorgan Massa, one of the good Samaritans. "We knew we couldn't leave her in the rain, in the middle of the road, frantically trying to get her scooter to work again."

3 of the men pushed the resident for three-quarters of a mile while she sat on her scooter, shielded from the rain by the fourth young men holding an umbrella.

“Those scooters are heavy,” says Katty. “Add the resident’s weight, her groceries and collapsing tires, the sum is a whole workout." But the men didn’t hesitate. "We just wanted her to get home safely.”
