John Berry’s mom passed away unexpectedly when he was 15 years old. He didn’t have anything that belonged to her, but remembered the car she drove - a green 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertible. John’s dad sold the car after his mom died and he’s been searching for it for years.
He eventually found it, but the owner didn’t want to sell it. John stayed in touch with the owner and eventually he decided to sell the car to John.
When the car arrived, John found some of his mom’s belongings still in the glove box - her sunglasses, maps of trips she’d taken, some earrings, and a comb.
John says “So many memories are stirred riding in the same car that my late mother drove around in, with my siblings and I as small children.”
