A mystery couple walked into a toy store in Australia on Wednesday and paid off 82 layaway accounts.
Scott Mills, the store owner says the couple told him they had trouble affording Christmas when they were younger parents and swore they’d help others if they ever could. They want to remain anonymous and don’t want the amount they spent disclosed.
Scott says the store employees were crying as they called each of the families to tell them that their toys had been paid for.
One father said he had $10 in his bank account after losing his job and the couple’s generosity would mean his twins would receive a birthday present next week.
