A South Carolina restaurant is helping their employees who need child care.
McGee’s Scot-Irish Pub hired a licensed child care worker to watch their staff’s kids on site for free. They converted a room in the back of the restaurant for the kids. It’s been a lifesaver for their workers, especially those working late shifts, who used to have to miss work when they couldn’t find a sitter.
I don't think people should have to choose between having a family and having a career," said the restaurant’s co-owner Dixie Benca.
