An Atlanta mom used the Find My iPhone app to help police locate her son after he was abducted during a carjacking. On the morning of April 4th, Jerrica Moore pulled into a parking lot and stepped out of her running car for a second when a man jumped in it and drove off with her nine-year-old son still in the backseat.
Jerrica called 911 and Atlanta police responded immediately. Using the Find My iPhone app on her phone, she was able to track her son’s iPhone and relay real-time location information to the police. In less than an hour from the initial call, a police helicopter spotted the stolen car. Officers then swooped in, arresting the suspect without incident and rescuing the boy.
