Maria Balboa was bagging groceries at an H-E-B Grocery in Corpus Christi, Texas, when a grandmother realized that she didn’t have enough to pay for her groceries. Balboa stepped in and offered to pay the $137 the grandmother needed, and the woman was so touched that she wrote to the store’s management to praise Balboa’s kindness. Balboa’s manager ended up reimbursing her for the groceries and giving her a goody basket from the company to show their appreciation.
