Police officers in Nebraska went above and beyond the call of duty when a grieving woman needed extra help.
Karen Ressegieu woke up early last Saturday to make cakes for a funeral, but when she went to wake up her husband Jim, he was unresponsive. After multiple attempts to revive Jim failed, paramedics declared the 79-year-old deceased, but Karen couldn’t stop worrying about the cakes she still needed to finish.
Officer John Danderand was so touched by her selflessness, he jumped in the kitchen and started helping Karen finish the cakes and then delivered them.
